These are a few of my favourite things...

I have had a love of Scandinavian glassware since I was 8 years old. The design, the cool, silvery look of the glass, and how elegant, modern, warm and magical it can look glinting with tealight candles....it reminds me of fairies at the bottom of the garden.

I started collecting Holmegaard glassware when I was 8, when I received a gift of a glass bowl/tealight candle holder from my beautiful Danish sister Lone, an exchange student from Denmark who stayed with us in 1978. From then on, each time I went to Denmark, I collected, and collected, and collected with my suitcases bulging with glassware....and I was in 7th heaven when the internet came along!

Holmegaard was my first love, and I cherish it to this day. My first piece, and my latest pieces (the taller scalloped edge bowl, and the big and small balloon shaped ones in the photo I received as gifts for my 50th birthday...here's a look at just some of my collection....
